Interdisciplinary thinking is not new, but the (relatively) new LIS: The London Interdisciplinary School offers a polymathic approach to tackling real world problems and fits well into the Brave New AI World model that we have developed. The new AI shaped workforce will need a different skillset, and it is encouraging to see initiatives that take us in this direction.
Another such program is the University of Dyslexic Thinking – developed in conjunction with Made By Dyslexia. It is a free online resource hosted by the Open University and accessible around the world. The point of The University of Dyslexic Thinking is to help develop the kinds of skills that are innate to dyslexics, in the rest of society, as these are going to be the skills that businesses and society will need as we head further into our AI-shaped future. There is a lot of overlap between their articulation of these skills and the PowerSkills that we have often talked about.
